Championship: rivoluzione Sudafrica, l'Australia cambia i 3 infortunati

Dieci cambi negli Springboks e una panchina 6+2 in linea con la tradizione per riscattare la dolorosa sconfitta 38-22 nel match d'esordio del Championship, il 4 Nazioni dell'emisfero Sud. Solo tre cambi forzati dagli infortuni nell'Australia. Ovvero rivoluzione per Rassie Erasmus e conservazione per Joe Schmidt. In questo modo va letto l'annuncio delle formazioni per la sfida del 2° turno del Championship, sabato 23 agosto alle ore 17,10 al Dhl Stadium di Città del Capo, arbitro James Doleman, dove gli Springboks hanno vinto gli ultimi 4 match disputati. Il Sudafrica non perde due test consecutivi dal novembre 2022.

La rivoluzione di Erasmus

Negli Springboks Jesse Kriel sarà capitano per la seconda volta, visto l'infortunio di Kolisi. Tornano nel XV le stelle Cheslin Kolbe, Damien De Allen, Andre Pollard e Willie Le Roux. Gli unici 5 giocatori salvati dalla disfatta del primo turno e ancora titolari sono lo stesso Kriel, Ox Nche, Malcom Marx, Malcom Van Staten e Grant Williams, mentre ne slittano in panchina ben 8. Oltre a Kolisi infortunati Du Toit, Ardense e Van der Merwe.

La conservazione di Schimidt

Nei Wallabies indisponibili per infortunio il capitano Harry Wilson (gamba), il pilone James Slipper (concussion) e l'ala Dylan Pietsch (frattura alla mandibola). In terza linea al posto Wilson c'è il ritorno di Rob Valetini, con Freser Mc Reight che diventerà il 91° capitano nella storia della nazionale australiana. Tom Robertson è il pilone sinistro al posto di Slipper. All'ala al posto di Pietsch, tornato in Australia e out probabilmente per tutto il torneo, c'è il debuttante Corey Toole, stella degli Act Brumnbies con 28 mete segnate in 43 match di Super Rugby. La panchina diventa 5+3.
