Jantjies sbaglia il calcio decisivo, gli Springboks pareggiano 27-27

Sfida molto combattuta quella che si è giocata al Free State Stadium di Bloemfontein e che finisce con un pareggio clamoroso

Israel Folau apre subito le danze all'11' con una meta, ma gli Springboks non vogliono stare sotto o fare la fine della sfida con gli All Blacks. Al 18' pareggio dei padroni di casa con Dreyer. Al 23' allungo di Foley con un piazzato a cui risponde Elton Jantjies. Sfida al piede che premia l'australiano, che al 35' porta i suoi sul 10-13 (con cui si chiude il primo tempo). Nella ripresa sorpasso del Sud Africa con Jan Serfontein. Ma passano tre minuti ed ecco che al 46' arriva la meta di Koroibete. Ma ancora controbbattono gli Springboks con Courtnall Skosan, a segno al 49'. Al 57' altro sorpasso dell'Australia, nuovamente con Koroibete. Poi partita che rallenta, salvo il piazzato di Jantjies al 70'. Al 79' Jantjies ha la possibilità di portare il successo a casa... ma manca i pali. Finisce 27-27.
